SIYAKOY NI DELINEIngredients:
3 to 4 cups All purpose flour
3 Tbsp sugar
1 package active dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk (fresh or evaporated)
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp butter or margarine
Procedure:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and dry yeast and salt. Heat
the milk, water and butter until very warm (120 degrees F). Gradually add to
dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed by hand or gently with
mixer. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Knead on a
floured board until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place into a
greased bowl, rest in a warm place to rise until doubled in size, about 30
or 45 minutes. Punch dough and divide into 3/4" X 14" lengths. When done,
cut further into equal lengths of 7" pieces. Wind together 2 pieces at a
time on a Barbecue stick or similar. Deep fry. Do not stretch the dough
while frying. Serve warm and rolled in sugar. |
